Stay on the Wynwood side Thursday night, not South Beach.

Logistics:
- Thu 2pm: Land (assuming MIA), go straight to friend's office in South Beach for calls. Don't check in first — you'll backtrack.
- Thu afternoon: Work from South Beach.
- Thu ~6:30-7pm: Leave South Beach for Wynwood. I-195 / Julia Tuttle Causeway eastbound in the evening is 30-50 min. Leave buffer.
- Thu night: Dinner/drinks near hotel in Wynwood, then short walk/ride to bed.
- Fri morning: Workshop in Wynwood — you're 5-10 min away on foot/Uber, no causeway risk.

Why Arlo Wynwood:
- In Wynwood, ~5 min to most Wynwood workshop venues. No Friday morning causeway crossing — critical since South Beach to Wynwood is 30-45+ min at 8-9am and unreliable.
- Business-traveler friendly: proper desks, good WiFi, quieter rooms than South Beach party hotels, co-working lobby if you need to prep Thursday night.
- Newer boutique (Arlo chain), rooftop pool/bar for decompressing, but not a South Beach nightclub scene before a morning workshop.
- Alternative if sold out / budget: Moxy Miami Wynwood (same neighborhood, cheaper, louder bar scene).

Why not South Beach hotel:
- Convenient Thu afternoon, but terrible Fri morning. You'd have to leave ~60-75 min early to make a morning Wynwood workshop, with MacArthur/Julia Tuttle traffic as single point of failure. Not worth risking a client workshop.

Why Uchi Miami (Wynwood, 252 NW 25th St):
- 5 min from Arlo Wynwood. Upscale Japanese, impressive for a client without being a South Beach tourist trap.
- Good for pre-workshop dinner: lively but conversation-friendly early in the evening, excellent food for mixed diets, easy to do light sushi + drinks vs. heavy late night.
- Book early seating (~7-7:30pm) — in bed early for morning workshop. Valet/Uber easy.
- Alternatives: Mandolin Aegean Bistro (Design District, 10 min away, great outdoor client dinner if Uchi is booked), COTE Miami (if you want steakhouse/Michelin flex).

Assumptions noted:
- 1 night Thu only, flying into MIA, workshop location is central Wynwood, client is Wynwood-based.
- Book Uchi now and request standard dining room (not over the bar) for talking.
